17th July – an unwelcome taste of the heatwave on the way to Lucca

Siracusa is the only place that I’ve planned to spend two nights on this trip. The starting point for the whole adventure was buying a ticket for a concert here.

Day 15 – where anything resembling a plan goes out of the window

Koblenz – Basel – Mulhouse Ville – Basel – Zuerich – Milano

Day 10 – Genoa, then through Milan and into the mountains

La Spezia – Genova – Milano – Tirano

Day 9 – A change of plan, La Spezia, and a visit to Cinque Terre

Verona – Florence – La Spezia – Cinque Terre (Manarola and Vernazza) – La Spezia

Day 8 – over the Alps and down into Italy

Salzburg – Innsbruck – Verona
