One year on

Today marks a year since I set off on the first of my six Interrail adventures in 2023. I’ve been looking back at the posts I added at the time, and at the many photos and videos that didn’t make it onto the diary.

7th September – a first visit to beautiful Bruges

6th September – a last minute change of direction

Day 38 – From Prague to Paris

Day 29 – wonderful – but expensive – Copenhagen

Hamburg Hbf – Koebenhavn H

Day 28 – Cologne then to Hamburg

Bruxelles Midi – Koeln Hbf – Hannover Hbf – Hamburg Hbf

Day 15 – where anything resembling a plan goes out of the window

Koblenz – Basel – Mulhouse Ville – Basel – Zuerich – Milano

Day 14 – a small country and a big hill

Bruxelles Central – Luxembourg – Koblenz

Day 6 – Berlin to Vienna on the high speed ICE train

Berlin – Nuernberg – Wien (Vienna)

Day 5 – Berlin, visit to the East Side Gallery and a special evening

One of the things I love about this city is that it confronts it’s difficult history head on.

Day 4 – Wernigerode – Berlin, and a look at the Reichstag
